Welcome to the World Class Breeders, World Class Puppies (WC) Program site. We are a small group of canine enthusiasts devoted to improving gene pools and producing what we define as “world class” puppies. Our definition of a breeder is laid out in our Bill of Rights. It is someone who meets World Class standards and through thoughtful application of research conclusions and data analyses covering health, temperament, and conformation produces puppies that meet or exceed the qualifications to be called "World Class."   World Class is not achieved here by membership alone.  What we can guarantee you is that no litter will be designated World Class or Litter of Merit (LOM) without meeting the standards put in place by this group. Lastly, a puppy from a litter designated World Class or Litter of Merit is not a guarantee of a perfect puppy. However, it is a guarantee that we in the WC Program have done everything humanly possible to reduce your risk based on the scientific approach to breeding puppies.

One does not have to be a member of the WC program to produce healthy, stable puppies. There are many ethical and caring breeders who do just that.  What sets apart breeders recognized by the World Class Program is how they handle problems in their lines.  With the World Class Program we created a support network, and a plan of action to enable those of us with shared values on the subject of breeding to achieve our goals.

Vision: To be “World Class” in all that we do.

Mission: To develop “World Class” breeders and produce “World Class” puppies.

Our primary goal is reducing risk for puppy buyers and here is how we do it:

PLAN: To produce healthy, stable puppies with significantly lower rates of disorders and faulty temperaments over the next 10 years.

DO: Implement a standard of health and temperament testing along with scientific puppy (birth to 8 weeks) raising practices and buyer education strategies.

STUDY: Check the results using data gathering strategies and statistical analyses.

ACT: Taking information learned, change processes where necessary, or create new ones and repeat the cycle this time starting with Checking results, Acting on conclusions or theories, Planning for new changes and Doing the changes (implementing processes improvements).

We are at our core, lovers of dogs. Some of us are breeders, some intend to breed if our dogs pass muster, and some of us support in other ways. Together we bring years of experience in canine-related issues—good, bad, and ugly. In addition, we all bring strengths and weaknesses to the “table” and because of it our WC team is better for it. We have and will make mistakes—we will also learn from them and do better in the future. We share a set of values and beliefs and most of all, we share a dream for the future—one pairing, one litter, one puppy at a time.

We are proud members of the World Class Breeders, World Class Puppies Program!
